  • Hands-on training of various levels of traditional Ayurvedic assessment techniques including:
    • Three Step Assessment (Trividha Pareeksha)
    • Eight Step Examination (Ashtavidha Pareeksha)
    • Ten Step Assessment (Dasavidha Pareeksha)
  • Pulse Diagnosis (Nadi), Tongue (Jihva), Eye (Netra), Skin (Twak), Stool (Mala), Urine (Mutra), Voice (Sabda), Structure (Akriti)
  • Ayurvedic assessment of systems and channels (Sroto Pareeksha)
  • Assessing the Constitution (Prakriti) and Disease (Vikriti) and understanding how to differentiate them to enable both prevention and cure.
  • Consolidating the assessment outcome and mapping the Ayurvedic etiopathogenisis (Samprapti) based on the assessment outcome

Day 2

  • Pulse Diagnosis- practical methodologies based on classical Ayurvedic texts
    • Overview of Pulse assessment
    • Methodology of assessing Prakriti and Vikriti
    • Various layers of pulse
    • Practical assessment of live cases
  • Tongue Diagnosis
    • Overview of Tongue assessment
    • Methodology of assessing various systems disorders
    • Understanding specific disease conditions from Tongue
    • Practical assessment of live cases

 

Day 3

  • Ayurvedic Assessment of
    • Eye (Netra)
    • Skin (Twak)
    • Nail (Nakha)
    • Hair (Kesa)
    • Stool (Mala) 
    • Urine (Mutra)
    • Voice (Sabda)
    • Structure (Akriti)
  • Consolidating the assessment outcome and mapping the Ayurvedic etiopathogenisis (Samprapti)
  • Practical assessment of live cases to establish the complete mapping of disease (Samprapti)

About the Instructor


Dr. (Vaidya) Jayarajan is a Specialist in Traditional Indian Medicine, Scholar & Educator, serving Kerala Ayurveda USA as Director of all academic programs and wellness services. With over two decades of experience in India and the U.S, he has touched the lives of thousands of clients across a wide array of disorders.

 

He earned his degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. During his time in India, he served as Chief Medical Officer at Kerala Ayurveda’s award-winning AyurvedaGram Heritage Wellness Center in Bangalore and headed the Ayurveda Expert team in new research project development at Kerala Ayurveda Ltd on Efficacy, Safety and Standardization of Ayurvedic Wellness solutions.

 

He is also a Lead Trainer for Domain Experts in Ayurveda with rich experience developing internal resources and new offerings in Ayurvedic Education. His Ayurvedic Wellness offerings have been effectively demonstrated and implemented in India, Europe and the U.S. He is a member of the Expert Curriculum Committee for Masters in Ayurveda at Bastyr University, Seattle and serves the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) Board of Directors.
