  • Preparation of 14 types of Ayurvedic formulations as described in the Vedic texts (Swarasa, Kalka, Choorna, Sheeta, Phanta, Kwatha, Ksheerapaka, Gudika, Varthi, Thaila, Ghrita, Lehya, Arishta, Asava, and many more)
  • Ayurvedic principles of combining herbs
  • How to prepare customized healing oils and decoctions right in your own home.
  • Ayurvedic Herbal Formulation Technician certification upon completion.
  • Each day we will have: 
    • Description of the methodologies of making the formulations for that day
    • Students will prepare the formulations under the guidance and supervision of the instructor

  • Shelf life of Ayurvedic formulations and natural preservatives

Day 2

  • Kwatha kalpana
  • Ksheerapaka
  • Herbal Oil preparation (Thaila kalpana)
    • Oil for Nasal administration (Nasya)
    • Oil for therapeutic enema (Vasti/Basti)
    • Oil for Massage/External application (Abhyanga)
  • Fermented Preparations (Sandhana Kalpana)
    • Arishta
    • Asava

 

Day 3

  • Therapeutic Ghee making (Ghrita Kalpana)
    • Ghee for eye therapy (Netra Tharpana/Netra Vasti)
    • Ghee for intake (Snehapana)
  • Preparation of Therapeutic Jams (Lehya Kalpana)
  • Ayurvedic handmade tablets (Gudika Kalpana)
  • Ayurvedic suppositories (Varti Kalpana)

About the Instructor


Dr. Jayarajan is a Specialist in Traditional Indian Medicine, Scholar & Educator, serving Kerala Ayurveda USA as Director of all academic programs and wellness services. With over two decades of experience in India and the U.S, he has touched the lives of thousands of clients across a wide array of disorders.

 

He earned his degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. During his time in India, he served as Chief Medical Officer at Kerala Ayurveda’s award-winning AyurvedaGram Heritage Wellness Center in Bangalore and headed the Ayurveda Expert team in new research project development at Kerala Ayurveda Ltd on Efficacy, Safety and Standardization of Ayurvedic Wellness solutions.

 

He is also a Lead Trainer for Domain Experts in Ayurveda with rich experience developing internal resources and new offerings in Ayurvedic Education. His Ayurvedic Wellness offerings have been effectively demonstrated and implemented in India, Europe and the U.S. He is a member of the Expert Curriculum Committee for Masters in Ayurveda at Bastyr University, Seattle and serves the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) Board of Directors.
