Ayurveda is an ancient healing system with deep roots, working with the natural flow of energy. What is Panchakarma? Panchakarma is a process of cleansing and rejuvenating the system based on the ancient system of Ayurveda that includes various bodywork techniques. Using natural ingredients, it is customized for individuals based on their constitution and health conditions

About the Instructor

Dr. (Vaidya) Jayarajan is a Specialist in Traditional Indian Medicine, Scholar & Educator, serving Kerala Ayurveda USA as Director of all academic programs and wellness services. With over two decades of experience in India and the U.S, he has touched the lives of thousands of clients across a wide array of disorders.


He earned his degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. During his time in India, he served as Chief Medical Officer at Kerala Ayurveda’s award-winning AyurvedaGram Heritage Wellness Center in Bangalore and headed the Ayurveda Expert team in new research project development at Kerala Ayurveda Ltd on Efficacy, Safety and Standardization of Ayurvedic Wellness solutions.


He is also a Lead Trainer for Domain Experts in Ayurveda with rich experience developing internal resources and new offerings in Ayurvedic Education. His Ayurvedic Wellness offerings have been effectively demonstrated and implemented in India, Europe and the U.S. He is a member of the Expert Curriculum Committee for Masters in Ayurveda at Bastyr University, Seattle and serves the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) Board of Directors.


Alka Mulakaluri (LMT, AWP) is a Panchakarma Specialist and Faculty Member of Kerala Ayurveda USA. Her belief, love, and passion to heal and help people to walk towards optimal health Spiritually using Sattvik and natural means diverted her back to her roots from where she comes to Ayurveda. She believes that touch is the best source to heal people and to reach their heart.

Alka is a California Licensed Massage Therapist graduated from Everest College, San Francisco. She has been helping her clients since 2006 and specializes in Swedish, trigger point, sports, pre-natal, post pregnancy and Infant massage techniques.

She is a graduate Practitioner from Kerala Ayurveda Academy and has earned her diploma in Ayurvedic Sciences and Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner. She is also a certified Panchakarma Technician from Kerala Ayurveda Academy and specializes in Panchakarma detoxification treatments. She has been trained in these Traditional healing techniques from well-known Ayurveda colleges in India.

Alka specializes in Panchakarma techniques an Ayurvedic detox program, and also she combines both the knowledge of Western massage techniques and Traditional Ayurvedic preventive measures. Alka has been helping her clients successfully for the past 8 years to maintain optimal health through diet, life style, yogic exercises, meditation, and heal naturally. Alka is a compassionate and inspiring practitioner of Ayurveda and is committed to providing services to humanity.
